Well I have a 1985 Toyota pickup that my mom bought brand new in 1985 and has never left the family. it is my first car and im just turning 18. I have had the car about 4 years and I have done quiet a bit. I have 2 inch belltech drop spindles and my torsions cranked up front and in the rear I have 5 inches of lowering blocks and I got my leaf springs reached from deaver springs 4 inches which is a total of 9 inches in the rear. It was a 2wd body up until I bought a donor truck and switched out all of the fenders doors and bed fir the 4wd. (my doors were smashed, they are all the same). I have already ripped the dash out and painted it black instead of brown and I put a black carpet kit in. I the got rid of the stock bucket seat and put 2 Toyota 4 runner buckets which are going to get reupholstered. I put a 89-95 bumper on to make it look lower and a 4 runner grill to match all my lights. I have a lot more done to it but that's a summary of what happened so far. Thanks for reading
Welcome! Looks like you've done quite a bit or work on your truck so far. The factory bucket seats are horrible. I replaced mine in 1985 with Recaro's. Glad you decided to go with 4Runner seats. And finally, show us pictures like everybody else has been asking
i think so....they look good. prolly wont get a reply from him tho....slammedyoda85 was last seen:Jul 21, 2013
Guys, I'm having a bit of a problem finding stock rims for this truck. Most junkyards have not even heard of this truck, and when I tell them the bolt patter they don't know if they have it. I guess they only know the cars. So what other car has this type of rims and bolt pattern? I currently only have the rears as the stock the front are from a different car.
I live in la. You would think the would know. With how big a car culture we have here. So if any you guys live in the LA area and kniw where I can find some please let me know. I have called all junkyards in the San Fernando Valley, Long Beach and downtown area.
That's because nobody calls a Toyota pickup a "Hilux" in the USA, accept enthusiasts. "Yeah, I'm looking for a set of stock steel wheels for my Toyota pickup". Lug pattern- 5x114.5 (VERY COMMON) I would think any year from 1970-1995 Toyota pickup wheel would work...
