Depends on mileage/overall condition. Is it a complete motor?(distributor, flywheel, plug wires, etc) Is it clean? Has it been rebuilt? What is the shape headers and carburetor? I see 20r's selling for all over the place. I've seen around $50-$100 for a stock motor, then I see some rebuilt motors selling for $1000 then there are cases like these: 78 toyota

I think your motor parted out "could" bring something like this:
    used weber: 100-150
    headers: 50-75
    motor & everything else: 100-150

    Total part out: 250-375

I'd as a one money deal you could get 200-300, again I'm not sure what condition your motor is in and I don't know where you live.

And honestly you might make a little more money parting it out, but is it worth the hassle?

I would like to think there are two prices for everything so just price it appropriately and be willing to negotiate.

As a last bit of information, I would search craigslist, ebay, maybe even ask a junkyard or two what they would charge for a motor(but don't expect to get what they charge unless you have a warranty or are selling to a auto clinic). Compare the engines condition, location and price. Then try to fit your motor in there somewhere!

    Hope that helps out some!

i get $500 for running 2xr's covered in oil pulled from a parts car, usually sell within a week.

so for a clean motor, with a weber carb, no leaks. id ask a min of $1k for the whole kit n kaboodle.

edit: but then i forgot about the header, so i would post on craigslist for $1500 obo, or even $2k

seriously doubt you'd get more by parting it out. its worth more together, then somebody with a ****ty motor can jus drop it in and go.

only solid axl 4x4 and AE86's are worth more in pieces.:D

I paid $1200 for a stock motor so I agree that you should ask atleast $1500 & take no less than a $1000 for it.
