Hey guys im trying to figure out why am i limited to turn right and sometimes left i changed my damper can anyone point out wat can cause my turning to be limited ty appreciate it
Did you remove any other suspension parts?? If not I'd say you have the wrong damper, either to shot or too long!!
Nope never remove any suspension parts it was even like that with the old damper i have to bust wide U turns
How wide are your wheels/offset? I have factory 14's and noticed it now rubs the radius arms after a balljoints flip. A spacer on the steer stop corrected that. If your wheels just simply won't turn any further without any obvious outside influence your steer box might be at fault.
Alright I'll look up on that 15x6 wheels 0 offset...haven't dont a bj flip just dropped and torsioned Thanks for the info guy I'll get back to u if it's still the same
I'd say you got a busted steering box without actually seeing your truck. Those wheels should cause ZERO issues if these guys on here run 18x10's!!
I tend to agree. I had 15X7, 0 offset wheels on my truck for the longest time, without any issues. If the problem is with the steering stop bolts, you would probably have heard the loudest, scariest, screech/clank when the bolt hits/rubs against the stop especially if you happen to have power steering.
Did you recently become a NASCAR super-fan? if so, you may be mentally limiting yourself to just turning in one direction. Aside from the previous suggestions, and just as an off in left field idea, I would look at the steering box. Maybe a tooth or something broke loose and is causing binding. It would explain (though far fetched) the steering binding and then loosening and binding up in the other direction. I would exhaust all other possibilities first as its prolly not the issue, but its a possibility.
.....................Turn it all the way and take a look under there... I'm running 275/35/18's up front on 18x10's and if it wasn't for my wheel wells, I can turn all the way. I need to tub. But aside from that, it turns quite well.
I figured we'd start with the truck with the suspension compressed under its natural weight before we get it up on jackstands.
