On this website www.racetep.com they talk about running a electrical pump with your weber and states the reasons why. I found it interesting and was wondering what everyone thinks and/or has anyone tried this already and what was the results. I was thinking about trying the pump they recommended. I know it'll free up some horses by not having a mechanical pump although minimal but every bit helps in my toy:lol:

    Electric fuel pump

You aren't going to free up that much hp going with an electrical.
But, I always ran an electrical fuel pump when running sidedrafts.
Just make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge to monitor it. I think
usually anywhere from 5-7 psi is fine.

the mechanical pumps are crap, throw a gauge on it and marvel at all the activity.

weber's like low rock solid fuel pressure with lots of flow, and that can only be found via electronic on a yota.

you would be real lucky to find any way to measure the improvement in power after removing the stock pump (for parasitic loss anyway) but being able to properly tune and drive your carb with definitly add some pony's
