Engine info on 21 R-U ?

    Hey you guys got a new 87 yota but its 5 speed manual tranny with a 21 R-U engine. I got a question about the engine is this engine even worth keeping it has low compression and im really considering switching to a 22R thanks for the input also heres pics of the new truck. (only 300.00 all it needed was a starter lol)

    The only thing that 21RU us good for is securing boats from drifting. Do not waste you $ on it. A 22r will have more power, last longer, and cost less.

    its basicly a 22r head on a 2ltr block. same exhaust, starter, ect..

    usually found in other countries then usa, most likely a transplant. check the build plate for confirmation.
