So I have 2 vehicles, same interior, same problems. 1st is an 84 4x4 x-cab pickup. 2nd is an 87 4runner. Both of them have dash vents that will not stay open(the 2 outside ones) opposite ones in each vehicle, and both of them have the center vents that willl not stay where you aim them, they immediatly fall down. I have searched and cannot find a fix. Any ideas??
The center part( moving part),can be removed from the dash, (just pray lightly on each side),there are pivot post on the sides,make a shim ,or try a o-ring over them to tighten the unit up!!
