Ill sure let you all know when I install mine, Ive seen these on a few trucks, they are nice, far better than the plain black face . . . also, in the picture, Im sure most of you observant peps noticed that when they snapped the photo, the gas gauge & the temp gauge are reversed, just look closely you'll see it, they should be swapped around for photo, the holes are in the right spot, as for right now, I would say that if the new dummy light gauge covers didn't have " cutouts " or writting, I would either adapt them to work OR dont change the warning lenses, but, I will letcha know for sure, Ive seen one truck with the cutouts, and the other left stock with just the other three changed out. VERY good point & good observation, Ill post pics afterwords

Okay this should answer some questions about these dash inserts. Overall I consider this a semi-easy install, I found, I had to modify the housing by trimming some plastic for the delicate wire to fit without bending, this kit operates either by switch ( included - and which I did ) or by hardwiring to the lights. I just turned on the key for the pictures, so you can see that the dummy lights still operate as normal. I also changed the blinker plastic to blue to make it look better than the green by cutting out some semi transparent blue plastic. I found the lights to be way kewl & overall install pretty easy if you have patience. I do not like the fact that this kit had a insert with the highbeam & 4 x 4 only, but, I can live with that.I used 3m thin tape to secure to old gauges and then removed the 2 light bulbs from the back. I have no doubt if you take your time this will be easy as hell . . .

I did this install on my 93 with a tach... I found it to be a simple install also.
I have since gone back to the black gauges with a carbon fiber surround

Anyone interested in a 89-94 tach gauge with reverse indiglo gauges?
I have both an aluminum surround and a carbon fiber one...

    kewl . . . !

Thats kewl . . . The only thing I noticed with the reverse glow is that if you leave the gauge needles the stock color they can be a lil hard to see at night, so I used a white touch up paint on one side of the needle and the other black ( kinda like a v-shape 3D effect ) & that helped alote at night & during the day they look neat/custom with all the background painted white as well ! Pics later . . .

    Thanks . . .

Yes, It was inexpensive, semi-easy & I have received alot of very positive feedback. I just really wish that someone made one for the heater controls, Ive seen the white gauge faces for the 3rd gen's but none for the 2nd ( interchangable ? ) ! I also cant wait for the crummy weather to stop around here so I can get my ride cleaned up and take some more pics & order my new rims ! ! !
