The check engine light in my 88 EFI truck lights up but only when you first push the gas. I start the truck and it will idle fine without the light coming on, but as soon as you push the gas the light comes on. Anyone had this problem before? If what do I need to do to fix it?

    (Edit)

I checked its throwing an o2 Sensor code. I live in a state with no emission standards on cars older than 1995 so my question now is do I need to replace the o2 sensor or is there a way to rig it up so that it doesn't throw the check engine light?
