Blower/Fan only works on High

    :confused:anyone could tell me how to fix this? my blower/ fan only works when switched onto High.... my truck's been that way since iGot it but iNever got around to fixing it... any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    i would start with the blower resistor. its that or the switch itself. but its usually the resistor.

    Same thing happened to my 93 and it was the switch. The plastic around the metal strip melted so the switch wasn't making contact. I just pulled the strip up some and everything works great now- hope this makes sense.

    a couple people told me it could be the resistor... where's it located?

    1988 Reg Cab Deluxe RN50
    Under Glovebox near the blower fan. Need a phillips screwdriver or a 10mm socket and the electrical connector unpluds if I recall correct

    i have the same problem, but mine is either level 1 or level 4. nothing in the middle. i found an old switch under the back seats in the cubby holes. i think that my granddad switched it out like 10 years ago. may have to do it again.
