Hello all, I recently picked up a 92 yota that I want to slap a BEAMS engine in and slide around a bit. I hear I can switch out early supra suspension with minimal modifications. Anyone know if the engine should mount up or how I would go about finding it out? and where I can look to find which suspensions would be interchangable? also, before spending lots o money on suspension, would a drop kit suffice to minimalize body roll and help it ride lower?

 

I believe it was MKIII supra spindles that fit and lowered the truck about an inch. Other than that i dont think anything else swaps over without serious fab. Swayaway torsions, good shocks and drop leafs will get you low and should still handle some kind of ok. Theres a cheap rear sway bar DIY not sure where so some google-fu is required

Oh and youll need custom engine/trans mounts to fit the BEAMS along with who knows what else

 

Thanks! Would a 1uz or 7m or 1jz bolt on any easier or are they all custom mounts.

 

1uz might be the easier than 1jz or 7m...you could also look at a 3rz swap or 5vz depending if you have a 22re or 3vz. 3rz, from what i heard are very similar to the 1jz mince the obvious and they can take an incredible amount of boost.
