added a 73 to my collection

    bought a 73 hilux today. going to be my wife's daily till i get her 78 back on the road.
    here is the only pic i have for now. i will take more tomorrow and up load them

    got a few bugs to work out but the truck runs and drives pretty good

    it already has a weber. its the shifter that has so much play in it is the main thing.

    Sweet score. Love the powder blue with patina. I'd flat clear it, maybe paint the wheels to match or keep black and keep the white walls.

    flat clear some pinstriping and paint the wheel and drive it what the plan is

    My vote is with patina as well. That thing is freakin clean. I think it would look good with matching painted wheels with the white walls.:headbang:

    sandblasted and primed wheels yesterday. paint them tonight

    well wheels got painted. but here is what happened today while my wife was headed home from school today. and yes this is a pic of the motor in the truck.:brickknock::confused::puke:

    :eek: wow. Hope she`s ok. Sucks to lose a drivable truck but looks like reason for engine build/swap.

    yes my wife is ok my truck on the other hand is going to need a motor swap by the end of the week. good thing i happen to have the one out of her 78 to put in it while i rebuild me a 20r

    Nah just get some bailing wire and it should all be fixed up, might need duct tape too. Never know. Glad she wasn't hurt and bummer on the motor.

    does anyone know if the weber off the 18r will work on the 20r and if so what i need to do to make it work.

    found the adapter plate but can not find linkage kit

    You might have to swap the linkage off a truck wih a 20r.. Stock linkage worked for my weber, but I have a 20r.
