Im trying to find out what 3rd member that will fit in my stock housing i would like a more freeway friendly ratio

 

If you have an 8" diff you'll have 4.10's. The best 3rd for that housing and application is a later model diff with 3.07's from a factory 4 speed trans equipped truck.

 

it is an 8inch would any 8inch 3rd work it has 30 spline axels thanks for the help

 

Yup. Any 8" 3rd will drop in, 4 cylinder, V6 whatever it all swaps in directly.

 

Thanks for the help. im not sure of the year but looking at a set of 3:42 s out of v6 tacoma 2wd hope all goes well

 

88-95 V6 2 wheel drive will have 3.42's too. 3.07's are in 84-92ish standard cab base models with 4 speed transmissions.

 

I dont recall what year the gearset is all i know its newer the guy i talked to said it was an 8inch with 30 spline cant wait tell some lower highway rpms

 

Just wanted to say thanks for the help yesterday looks like the only mod i have to make is removing the 3rd member stud at the 7:00 oclock position and install a longer one thanks again white trash
