So I just got a rebuilt 20r to put in my truck and I'm super pumped on it! I've never swapped engines before so I'm looking for help. Not only advice but also some helping hands. There is a wealth of info on this site that I have been reading up on, I'm getting down to the practical side now. Anybody around the Seattle area want to help in exchange for pizza and beer and great times? Haven't set a date yet, but it will be a weekend.

If I have components pulled off and the engine hoist ready, is it reasonable to think it can be pulled and the new one dropped in and drive-able in a day?

Also, I'm switching to a weber, thinking about changing to a 5spd as well, worth it for freeway driving? This will be my daily, I don't often get on the freeway so it's not pivotal.
