Looking at my '73 hilux seat belts but I can't figure out how the shoulder strap ties into it. It doesn't seem like there is a place it to hook in to. Let me know if I'm just missing something.

You mean where it connects to the lap belt part of the seat belt or where it connects to the body?

I'm talking about the connection to the lap belt/buckle, I cant find where it connects. Anyone have a picture of what it is supposed to look like?

Well the shoulder strap has a little post on it that slips through a hole with a slot on the lap belt. Its closer up to the handle part of the lap belt then the hole for the stiker on for the female part of the seat belt. Gets it?

yep like dillinja66 said there should be a key hole style spot it goes into. at first i thought mine was supposed to wrap around my neck :)

just a fyi, you can take the safety belts from a 89-95 truck and bolt them in. you have to drill two small holes that a tab goes into but it's pretty easy and a much better system. 79-88 belts will probably work too but i haven't tried it.

Any one find retractable three points that work well without drilling holes? I hate belting my son in with the stock ones in my '73 but can't find any parts locally.

you can use the 89-95 without drilling the holes. it just helps keep it aligned straight up and down.

Got any pics of those swapped in burnz? Of pics of the latch setups? Do they come in black. Mine are good but the 74 I'm looking at from my cousin only has laps, no shoulder. No hole on the cab for them even.
