Just noticed my EGR and the port are completely clogged with rock solid carbon deposit.
any opinions on what i should do about this?

I'm supposed to leave this week on a cross country voyage.

On a second note the rubber diaphragm on my stock Aisan carb is shot..
these don't seem to come in any carb kits i can find? where does everyone get these?

thanks in advance for any help! :)

idk about the carb kit but for sure that is a ugly looking hole lol
try a wire hanger to bust out the carbon. then maybe a heavy pipe cleaner or something similar to dig out teh rest of the gunk. its prob safe to assume that the rest of the EGR passages are blocked as well.

Take the secondary throttle diaphram apart and put the spring on the other side of the rubber part. Now when you push the throttle all the way down the secondary will engage automatically instead of waiting for the vacuum to pull it in, gives an instant push and makes the secondary full mechanical Bloc off the vacuum source.
