Has anyone converted to HID headlights? If so should I but a kit? Or can I just wire them in and connect them appropiatly? I think they are 3 prong and the originals are 2. Any tips appreciated before I start wiring. Thanks!

The original is 3 prong for hi and low and ground... Most HID kits are only 2 prong because they are only are usually just low beams so you just wire to your ground and low beam prong and your good to go

i bought my HID setup from www.ddmtuning.com $52 shipped and the quality is excellent but then i got my h4 conversion kit off ebay. The ebay kit fit very nicely and came with built in city lights ready to wire in.
ONLY problem I had was fitting the rubber boot over the bulb but with two small slits there shouldn't be a hassle

HID's pull tons of amps at start-up. Be sure to run a seperate harness triggered by your OEM H4 connector-you will burn up old wiring.

    AIM YOUR LIGHTS!

All HID bulbs alter the position of the light source, just a little, but enough to annoy others- usually aiming them down a few degrees helps.

    DONT GET THE BALLASTS WET!

unless you get a high end sealed kit, the ballasts will fail in the rain after a few months. Even humidity hurts these. Seal them up somehow if your in a wet or humid climate.

    And those rubber boots suck!

    haha

I run the 55W low/high beam kit from DDM Tuning, have had them for 4 or 5 years now ,no problems.
I run them in Hella glass lens, & the only thing I had to change was add a resister so the high beam initiator worked!
I do wash the engine bay often!
