Thanks to the help of one of the guys on here (liteon) I am about to have some caliper stands made so you can use 4piston toyota 86-95 4wd calipers on a 84-95 2wd toyota with 12.1 inch wilwood rotors... I am wondering if any of you guys are interested in a pair... it would be a $25 deposit to order and will take about a month to get them. total cost will be around a $100 and the more that I order the better the price.... email me about them at [email protected] Mike

Jegs had a sale on the hats... about $47 each I ended getting the rotors from them too... but it was a price match from another site about $78 each My calipers were a steal off ebay, they were listed as t100 which is the same and with no core charge that saved a lot... I got them shipped for $62 but with a core charge elsewhere is about $200+

Yes, the difference is amazing. Well, I went from a single piston caliper on a 10" rotor to a 4 piston on a 12.1" rotor. More pressure from surface area and more leverage. It went from not being able to lock up the front tires in the rain to locking them up on dry pavement. Not that I want to do that, but now I can..... And make sure that your passenger is ready for the panic stop, or you might need to replace the windshield.
Or they can wear a seat belt lol. My truck locks up all 4 wheels on dry pavement which is not good thing but I'll probally get a set of these once I do my engine swap along with rear disc brakes.

I am attaching a pic of my latest design revision for the caliper stand/adapter. It will be made of stainless steel and the holes will be threaded for 12mm 1.25 pitch bolts (stock size) so no muts will be needed. The design is made to be 12mm thick. MTB

Heys guys, these rotors will not work. The mounting holes are a slightly smaller diameter than the hat that will fit over the hub of the pickup. There are others that are drilled and slotted, they are more expensive though. If you do get drilled and slotted rotors, Make sure that you get both passenger and driver side rotors. They are directional! Also a few notes: 1.The rotors listed above by MTB68TOY are the ones I use. They are cast iron and do rust. No big deal, just be prepared to clean the wheels on a regular basis (you should anyway. ). 2. Get grade 8 cap screws for mounting the rotors. Some grade 8's are not coated and rust. It should cost about $15 or so for the bolts and lock washers. Wilwood wants $80. If you get non coated bolts, you will have to paint them.
Thanks for the clarification on the rotors Litneon... Just as a side note I used stainless Allen head bolts for mine, definitely no rust... LOL! I got my bolts from a local swap meet for about 5 bucks... make sure they are 5/16 -18 you may have to run a tap through the threads in the rotors, I had to as my bolts were binding in the threads

More thanks to Litneon... seems normal stainless steel doesn't have the strength required for the rotors so you would need to use grade 8 hardware like Litneon mentions or I have found some high strength stainless out there that should work too...
Ordering today Well I have finished the design and will be ordering them today... Unfortunately only one of you has gotten in on this, but I have decided to order a few sets anyway (ordering only two increases the price way too high). So I will have a set or two extra if anyone still has interest. It will be about a month before they come in. I will post again when they are here and probably have pics of my install. They will not be in stainless do to it's lack of tensile strength... I will also be including the socket head bolts and lock washers needed to bolt the wilwood hats and rotors together. I got a great deal on them and they are ridiculously priced from anywhere as rotor bolts.... they are grade 8 zinc plated. See the attached pic of the final design.... MTB
