Ok I know how to z a frame but I was just wondering, how much the front needs to go up? Also are there any other issues to deal with after doing this like, motor mounts and what not. Thanks for the help.

it all depends on how far you need to go to get the frame to lay flat. usually anywhere from 1" to 1.5" will be about what you need. if you already have modified the tranny xmember to be flush with the frame and the rear lays out. once the front is cut where youre going to z it at will tell you how far it needed. depending on if youre bodydropped or not can also determine what else....motor mounts etc, go ahead and look forward to modifying the steering column due to the z.

Thanks for the heads up on the steering column. I was actually looking at that right before i got on the computer. If anyone has z-ed a 92 toyota or the same style, what did you run into when you did your frame. Thanks for the reply framescr8pintoy

i believe your steering column should be fine. and you need to go an inch and a half.

Yeah an inch and a half sounds about right. Obviously I won't weld anything up until I measure it but I just wanted to get an Idea of how much it needs to go. Thanks burnzya.

Best bet is to level the truck out and measure for yourself. One in the shop right now looks like 1.25" is all that's needed.

Tollerances where rather loose from the factory.
