So I sold my daily driver today! It was a 98 nissan altima fully loaded with leather interior, port and polished head, stage 2 BC racing cams with dual valve springs and titanium retainers. OBX header, high flow cat, and cat back racing exhaust. Lowered 4 inches on 18" konig imagines... I had fun with the car. I originally built it for the ex- wife (we were married at the time)...oh well. Anyway, I got my eye on an 88 (i think its an 88) toyota pickup custom cab, 2wd with 2wd sheet metal. Its a long bed, 5 speed, 1 ton with a V-6. All black, but needs a little work. I know the daughter of the guy that owns it and like me, he is prior military, sooo hopefully I can get it for cheap. I didn't take pics but I will next time I go to check it out. Here is an example of one, for those that don't know what im talking about I will let you all know what happens and if I do get it, I will do a build up for when I lower it and whatever else!
So I finally got her home today. Its an 88 2wd 5 speed with the 22re. I wont really be able to work on it until Tuesday, but until then, I will try to get it running and def get it registered. Plans include a static drop (supra spindles, Lexus GS or LS400 brakes), rear disc brake conversion, 4wd sheet metal, lots of interior work, 18" steelies, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome grill, and a few engine mods to get a little more pep... Sorry for the horrible pics, I will take better ones in the morning
I finally got power! I had to change the main fuse from the battery to the fuse box (under the hood). I didnt hear the fuel pump working, so when it gets warmer (Saturday) Im gonna drop the tank, drain the old fuel and R2 the fuel pump. Its too cold! 12 degrees! Hopefully I will be able to drive this land yatch this weekend!

I wanted to lower my truck but found out I got rid of the lowering blocks years ago. Put the 18" steelies on, clear corner and tails, new chrome grill. Installed chrome interior door handles and skull shifter. Vaccumed the hell out of the interior and then took her for a test drive!
The other day, I got my LCE ceramic header, high flow cat, and some muffler I bought back in the late 90's-early 2000's installed. I had lengthen the exhaust to make it work, but it worked. She sounds great. Next on the agenda is the crane cams multispark ignition and coil. Today after working at the shop, I started reaming the tie rod holes in the supra spindles. Once my new ball joints arrive, I will have the supra spindles done.
The supra spindles have multiple uses. Verses stock truck spindles, they have a 1.5" drop. Secondly, stock supra brakes are alot bigger and better than the trucks brakes. Lastly, they dont have an outer bearing dust bubble thingy... allowing the use of front center caps for certain types of rims. Do a search on TM about the supra spindles or supra brakes. Also, Burnzya is using them on his Hilux. Thats where I got the idea and info from. Shoutout to Burnzya!
Today I mounted the shift knob that was in my toyota sera (JDM car with factory gullwing doors and a glass roof. What I drove while I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan). Here is an example:
Nice . OK i see now that you mention it. I remember something about the supra brakes and spindals. Keep up the good work man
