Hello- I need a carb for my 20r Hilux. It's been in the shop for 4 days, and they are too retarded to know what to do with a non-fuel injected vehicle. Sure wish they had told me that before I had it towed there. They should have said "if I can't hook a computer up to it, I don;t know how to work on it". After sitting down the shop owner and having a serious discussion with him, I truly believe this to be the case. I should have guessed...the truck is older than he is. Tank has been flushed (was full of 10 year old gas) and filter replaced, That took him 4 days. He was surprised that his whole shop was poisoned by the old gas smell! I wonder why he thought I was willing to pay him to do it? Heh. Unless it starts/runs sometime today I'll just tow it home and do it myself. I figure I should buy a good working carb to bolt on, and I can deal with the gummy old one after it's off. What have you? Thanks James
I'm dumpin my 22r carb for a 32/36 from everything I've read it's a nice replacement with a bit more power.. good luck..
BTW, if I were to get a Weber, does anybody know if I need a DFEG, DGEV, or something else? I'm having a tough time figuring out what to get if I have to buy a new one...and don;t want to have to do this twice... TIA James
