Ok so i was on another forum some of you may be familiar with and i found a thread of this guy making his on leaf spring pack using 2 or 3 different packs. As i was reading it i started wondering, would it work if i put the overload leaf on top of the main leaf then clamp it. Thinkin about it its going to de-arch the leaf pack while probably maintaining the stock ride. Im tempted to try it but im worried that the pinion bearing is guna fukk up again like when i pulled the middle leaf As the title says, would this work?? Heres the link to the thread i was lookin at. >>> INFAMOUS NISSAN<<<<
what is the point of doing this? Is it to get lower? Because if you keep the stock leaf pack and take it to a spring shop they will de-arch it like 5" for real cheap. You should because you probably need new bushings and a center pin. Are you running blocks? Is it an extra cab?
no blocks yet. but if i can find a free alternative that works just as good then y not. its just an idea. and de-arching the leafs is a thought but once again, if i can find a way to do it for free with what ive got then fukkit. and i kno il need a few extra things and thats fine. i dnt mind. and yea its a extended cab
Why go through the hassle of all that when blocks are cheap? Our local parts house chain sells a set of 3" with U bolts for $25.
honestly i dnt see it as a hassle. idk y but i dnt. i enjoy doing lil sh!t like this but i like making sure its guna be worth the time (which i have tons of). And i plan to get blocks, but im looking at lowering more than 3 inches
3" drops without trimming/ removal of bumpstops suck.... 3" drops with trimming/ removal of bumpstops do well idk, ive been happy with my setup?
Im guna notch it anyway so im not really worried bout bumpstops. atleast not the rear. Just trying to figure something else that can be done while paying next to nothing
