    Hi guys,

Just picked up a nice little work/toy truck. I am out of So Cal. Any suggestions for first mods?

Oh man, that Bad Boy Club sticker brings me back that’s for sure! I haven’t seen that logo since I was a kid

That’s a nice truck you’ve got there! Only thing I’d do at this point is send it off to be fully detailed, fill ‘er up and enjoy the new ride :headbang:

If you’re itching for a quick mod - My dad always told me that when you buy a used truck with a shell, the very first mod is to install a cheap $2 barrel latch on the inside of the tailgate, so a thief can’t just drop the tailgate to get inside the locked shell

Haha Definitely, and thanks for the advice, I am going deep clean so I can checkout every inch of the car. In addition to the latch, I am going to get a quick release steering wheel!

yes, the steering wheel is a good anti-theft device. I know at least 5 people who've had their pre-Tacoma pickups stolen over the years

Nice truck!! A good paint polish will make it stand out! Hopefully there's still enough paint. Depending on the ride, I would check your steering/suspension parts and just make sure it's up to date! Adjust your headlights! Haha a lot you can do for free/cheap.

Yeah absolutely nothing more than a small ding on the body! I think its seen a lot of highway, so needs a once over.

I do feel that maybe the suspension is twerking a little on sharp turns maybe from end stuff, it may be a sign for the first major upgrade.

If you can't find a mod cuz you think it's cool already, haha I'd change all the fluids. Tranny, Coolant, oil, all new filters and plugs. Just for piece of mind.. that way it's stays looking cool on the road, instead of the driveway..haha

100% agree, things will come to mind over time, no reason to mod it with out making it last long.

That is a sweet ride, I love when these trucks are lowered with a shell like a slick-ass brick flyin down the road. Love it. I’m jealous!
