if it is too expensive rip a nasty fart in it and tell em the interior stinks and to lower the price lol. nobody wants to keep a truck that you **** your pants in
There is all more out there. Dont give up hope yet. Whats your price range and what are you looking for? Maybe i can help
All I am after is a extended cab, pre taco, so up to 94'. Price is pretty open, but I am not into buying junk. People are absolutely crazy in their estimates of a truck's worth. Last night a 84, w/ bad paint, totally jacked interior, missing alot of pieces, nothing worked inside, filthy engine that was leaking from looks like everywhere. 294,000 miles, mis firing, barely running, blown suspension, probably overloaded so many times. Stand in the rear of the bed, and jump up and down and it feels like a trampoline. He wanted $2000.00. I offered him a grand, and he thought I was trying to rip him off!!!! When I informed him that I was the one being ripped off by a grand, and he should pay me to remove the truck for him. The negoitations went downhill from there. The later trucks 89 and above no matter the miles and condition are all ways 2g's and above.
i dont know if you saw my thread , i went out again to look at a 93 ext cab, 178k sr5, shifts like **** hard to put in gear,hg snaped before, lil tranny leak n ps leak bad, body is beatup , he abused it , everytime he opens the door , it hits on his wood fence, he wanted 3000 once i inspect few things i got in the car try to put it in reverse, i didnt wanna drive it , shifter is really sloppy , really hard to put in gear , he wanted me to make a offer, to be honest i wouldnt buy it for a G people really need to stop over pricing these trucks , no matter how clean , they dont worth over 3 G i often see 95-99 tacomas for under 4500 with low miles, if i bump it to a deal , i would buy a tacoma again eventhought i like the 89-95 body better, i used to have a 98 tacoma, it has more power , cost lesser gas, you pay for how much they worth unlike pickups , sometimes i think is a f*ucking bull****, why would someone pay 2800 for a beatup 2000k truck? something is wrong with this kinda people btw i also looked 04+ ranger, they look good in my opion, sometime you find deal like 5000 for 05 06 ranger with low miles under 100k
when i sell mine im starting at 5K... once you own a toyota you dont mind the high resale value good luck, just find some lil old man thats been driving it forever and offer him a G. dont kill me http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/1832954986.html sorry
you can say im hating , i think toyota pickups are the most over rated truck, i been trying to buy one for months , all the truck i looked in person not a single one has no oil leak nor sounds normal ,i see about 5-15 toyota pickup a day when i go out, you hardly see a clean pickup on the road. also i dont see how reliable a 22re is, i think its just a normal motor , if you dont maintain it,or you drive it hard, it fails hard just the other motors/trannys out there im tired of hearing how bullet proof a 22re or Toyota R transmission is , when i drive over 1 hour to see a truck with 22re or sr5/r150 that is supposed to drive good and shifts good turns out to be a total piece of metal junk that drives and looks nothing like a normal car except it moves when you give it gas its bull****
I looked for my latest toyota for well over 2 years. It took so long mostly because I now live in the midwest and very few people will drive a toyota up here so there aren't many used to choose from. I was holding out for an xtracab but found a 94 standard cab with 33k miles on it for $3500. I couldn't pass it up as its like brand new still. It is my 5th toyota and I have to say they are the toughest, most reliable vehicles of all I have ever had. Sure if you are looking at one with 200k~ miles that has barely even been maintained, you are going to find them running like **** and leaking everywhere. Have a realistic budget and some patience and you will eventually find something worth buying.
I'll pay the money for a clean running truck. I just don't think there are alot of them left. They are few and far between. And all the junk floating around now is depressing me. Just because it says Toyota doesn't mean it is worth gold. I'll find my truck, it just might take a minute.
i def feel you bro, im giving up now, if i see other trucks for good deal , im buying it can you beat this one? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/1836206406.html
I do agree, some folks price them ridiculously high! In those cases I just make my offer and if they don't like it I move on... Good luck on your search...
finally after months, i brought this bit**ch home check it out http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6492&page=2
