Well the 2012 show season is over for me,last show was Sat.10-06-12
Chilly Billy Memorial Run & Car Show. Was a great show ( no love that day),but lots of fun, & a trip to Laguntas Brewery afterwards, with two cases of Brown Shurrga' stuffed in the bed on the trip home!
Will be starting on winter projects for the next year show season.
All new hard lines @ the bed, pump mounting plates to allow new pumps when needed, removable center notch cover to show the rear set up.
Also doing a mod @ the front bumper& turn lites!

 

Got all the mock up & stainless hard lines made & in place,except for the last 4 bends & fittings which will go in once I cut the area open inside the tape. Will remove all to do the cutting & then weld up the holes no longer needed.

Wat are you doing for the front bumper? My winter projects are to get rid of the 4runner work on buying a house an hopefully park the truck an get something else to daily so I can body the truck an back half it

 

The front bumper work is coming along, it's being sand blasted now to get the 7 coats of paint & primer off it. May have it back today.

Thnx truck action. Those are the plans so trucks are on hold til tht happens unfortunately haha but I think getting a place of my own is best right especially since they're cheap around here

 

Finished the last two bends today,will get the last two fittings to finish the lines from pump to tank tomorrow. Then break all down & on to the rest of this areas of work!

 

Well all is coming along between helping the wife with Christmas wrapping,etc.
Have removed all the in bed items,have cut out the notch cover to make removable @ shows. And now working on the re fitment of the cover!
The bumper work is also moving forward!
Hope to get back in primer soon!

 

Made the handles & got the last fastener in place . Put one tank & lines on to check that the cover came on & off without any problems! All is good!!

 

Well I reshot the top of the bed rails yesterday,with both paint & clear coat,( had a few clips ),will wet sand out & polish in a day or two. And will have all back into the bed.
Also have a new one piece glass coming as over the years I pitted mine up pretty good!
Found a company back East that as 10 new glass in stock,from clear to heated & tinted, $100 plus shipping! Went with the tinted & will have tinted some more!
Will get photo's up soon!

 

Can you share the name of the company and their phone # if you have it, I would like to replace mine with a new piece as well if they have it?

Well be glad to once I receive mine,as was told they have no problem shipping ( do so all the time), as long as they have another to send if received broken!
Once I have it I will throw the info up !!

These are very hard to find,even through Toyota, & they list them @ around $380!!

Thanks,had to have a few changes for this show season, & still working on the front bumper change.
Yes to the sway bar, the front one I have never had remade after going to tubular a-arms. Will have to weld tabs on the lower a-arm & refit the bar,than have a new one made.A-arms would have to come off & not sure the owner of Quickior Engineering is still alive to remake the bar!Still want to do that but we'll see

 

so thts a custom sway bar for the rear?
