Hello. I need a windshield for my 75 (among other things) but it seems to be the toughest to find new. Has anyone checked interchangebility with other Jap trucks of the same era? These trucks are non-existant in my area (Winnipeg)
can u put full coverage with glass and have insurance do the work? on my 66 mustang i did that and got a genuine fomoco glass. cost over $600 for the glass but i didn't pay a dime.
re:w/shield insurance Thanks burnzya, but insurance company would simply write the truck off as a "total loss" claim. Also, all the bodyshops and parts stores tell me glass is no longer available. I did talk to a guy that does only restorations, and he suggested if I had another glass with the right curve but too large, a glass shop can cut it down. Since the frame will probably need rust repair, the lip could be extended 1/4 in. or so, as well- then hide with sealer and moulding. Wrecking yards around here pretty much hang up on me (I can almost see their eyes rolling on the other side of the phone) Some photos here is you guys are interested: http://www.zooomr.com/photos/rubbernek/sets/
