What's better? Drop spindles or lowered control arms?

I'm skeptical about lowered control arms. My buddy had some and they broke on him. They were DJM brand also.

    Any thoughts?

Not sure what your friend was doing that caused a control arm to break, but Ive had DJM control arms on my truck for over 9 years without a single problem!! As for whats better then its pretty simple...if your planning to bag your truck soon then go with spindles cause the DJM arms are not designed to mount bags on them. If you want to just lower your truck and not go adjustable then go with control arms. Ive used both drop spindles & lower control arms & like them both.

Might get more attention if this were to be in the For Sale section?
On a side note...if I wasn't moving to a new city I be all over these, good luck on the sale. :waytogo:

Actually, I'll stick with drop spindles off ebay. They're only $160 shipped.

well your looking at the price of 2 complete different items. the spindles are 160 and the upper control arms are 200 plus 46 shipping.... that could be a great price but thats not even whats listed... hes listing lower control arms..

hey just to let u know, if u use lowering control arms, make sure u have atleast a 15" rim..my 14" barely let me drive the truck (so i havent) and thats SR5 rims, but my stock steelies give me better clearence. so..just thought i would though that out there..if i was to redo my drop i would go with the control arm..less hassle for me..oh well live and learn :)

    Opps!!! Brain Fart!!!.....

I really should ease up on the alcohol. But, then again, that's what the weekend is for.

Thanks for the knowledge, I'm running 19" rims so I should have any problems.
