i guess i dont understand. why do you have to z the front of your frame? does it have to be done to fully lay out? is it needed for the body drop? please some one help me on this.
the front crossmember hangs down about 1-1.5" lower than the rest of the frame, so it will only lay out on that and the rear of the frame if you don't do a z.
haha....... yeah you run into a lot of crap. but it's all worth it in the end. you also need new tranny x-member as well. when i got my 86 it wasn't z'd and was laying tranny x-member
so one more question. when you z it do you just do it by the firewall or so you do it in front of the crossmember too?
you will need to drop the front frame horns the same amount of the z, in front of the steering box. if doing a body drop it would be easiest to do it all at the same time since you have to lower the front of the frame to match the body drop.
. . . and whats wrong with laying crossmember LOL! Got some good info rolling in here! Spot on! * Side note * Burnzya is a toyotholic now " clapping out loud I am "!
