well my friend owns a custom fab shop and he said he would be willing to make us control arms upper and lower depending how many will tell the price. just wondering who would be interested in upper and or lower tubed control arms, and if you want the lowers with 1 2 or 3 inch drop ??? and when i told him the price of whats on the market he laughed and said how because its only 50 bucks in material lol.. also im not aloud to tell you whose gunna make them because it will be a 1 time thing and he wont market them or get insurance for the design so if your causes an accident or something hes not liable.. you made them yourself for all it matters lol.. so let me know what you think ??? just to show you some of his work this is his personal truck he build solid axle and dodge cummins turbo diesel with 975ft pounds torque...
sketchy, but if i saw a set of them and the welds so i could judge the quality then yea. but ill pay no more than $150
im interested.... if anything i would do at least uppers unless he can do lowers like cando but that they seem a little tech to me ... if he could do adjustable uppers that"ll take some good ball joints im down
what are you all willing to pay for them, and what kind of drop do you want out of the lowers, and yes they will be just like candos... also to do a 73 he would need the truck.. I have to drop my truck off 7 hours away for him to do this then pick my truck up when its done.
All the quality arms that are out there are tig welded which is time . Some are made of stainless steel ,most all others are seamless 1/4"" wall tube. The fit comes from lots of research, & fitment on the year & make of truck! You do get what you pay for!!
Dude I say lets chip in and buy some candos then have him make imposters and raise money for a TM members meet somewhere this summer!!!! I want some upper and lower and I really like the design and such that the Candos back up but yah Im poor and really dont want to spend that kinda flow on those things.
