im looking to get a muffler and bigger piping for my truck. which would you guys recommend? i dont like high pitched mufflers. i like the mellow tone at idle and nice deep sound at WOT. i know its a 4 banger but there has got to be something out there to make the trucks sound nice.

i have the magna flow muffler with 2 1/4 pipe on both of my trucks. if u want loud put a "free" flow cat on. if u want something mellow leave the stock cat on..but the "loud" truck also has a header, the other doesnt..

wut about a header and a magnaflow "Y" muffler splitting it to a dual exhaust. thatll make it louder but because it splits, the rumble wuld be reduced a lil bit, right?

    get a header, run a free-flow cat & then get you a 40 series/2-chamber flowmaster muffler

great thanks! i plan to add a header as well put thats later on. also waht does the length of the muffler have to do with the sound? i heard that the longer it is the more mellower it sounds? and what header do you guys reccomend? i need it to pass smog as well.

oh, i forgot to mention, both the truck have duals. Speedy has duals straight out back but the tips are 30ish inches by 3" round, that is why its so loud. MC hauler is same but exit like stock on both sides and has just regular tips, so its mellow. sorry forgot to mention it. i have the street preformance header from lc engineering on Speedy. but im not sure if its CA legal..

how do you like the LC header? i think i will get one of those just the california version. i actually want to jide teh tip i was thinking maybe having it just poke out in front of the back wheel in the wheel well. i seen it dont but not sure how to do it. iether that or just have it dump before the axle.

i paln to get one of these three for my exhaust but i dont know which to get. i heard that the tip on the end changes the sound as well? i am going to have my exhaust under the truck so not gunna be showing it off at this point but i would like for my truck to have a nice sound. and the price of a muffle with tip comes in at the same price as these muffler/tip combo ones as well.

:D i'd just drive no matter how loud it is, just be easy on the throttle and don't be a jack@55
