Hello everyone! I have owned my 86 reg. cab for a little under a month now and amped to bring the life back to this fantastic salvaged find:waytogo: But I don't know what to make priority:shrug: I want to repair the rust damage but time is a huge issue. I want to fix this oil leak and overheating issue but no garage to call my own:( It runs like a champ and the body is pretty straight so I was thinking of lightly sanding it then a primer sealer with a flat coat of paint just to seal off the damage from the elements until I can repair the rust damage the right way. What did you guys and gals make priority in your project? Thanks in advance!

welcome to the site man. sounds like you have a well rounded project on your hands.

priority wise it really varies from person to person. people view priorities differently. my opinion on your current situation however would lean towards your overheating and oil leak issue. cant really pimp out a truck that dont run or has issues running reliably to begin with. my say is go with that and once thats out of the way, move on to remove the rust.

    good luck :waytogo:

get that motor running well, and since you say you have exterior issues make that second on the list. My motor was running awesome, so I just did a service, and put all new brakes on her. my exterior has very little rust, but my interior is destroyed so I moved on to that before the exerior.
good luck, and post pictures so we can see what you're working with.
