Okay so my friend followed me the other day and noticed my back right wheel was wobbling, not turning straight, whatever you want to call it. After getting home and jacking up the truck there was no play in the wheel at all. I took the tire off and inspected the drum, looked good, nothing out of place, I grabbed it and shook it and felt no play. So I swapped the back wheels and tires thinking maybe that was the probelm. Well the back right wheel is still wobbling - does anyone have any ideas why it might be doing this? It's driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

I do now that before I bought it she was parked on the street and a drunk driver kinda went down the drivers side of her, it did gash the corner of the bed behind the xtra cab up a bit - I wonder if this collision could have messed the drum or axle up on the other side?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated - thanks OJ

There is a phillips head screw that holds the brake drum in place, most are counter sunk and some are not. Maybe just maybe your rim is not sitting flush?

Worst case scenerio is the axle is bent, axle bearings going out. The outer bearings are a little easier to diagnose with a shake down but, since you mentioned you did that it may be the inner bearings in the differential. Those are harder to diagnose if the outters are good...

Very good idea BYE! Ive seen that before! The other thing is sometimes rust will build up on the hub causing the rim not to sit flush. Make sure it is clean!

same here, i got a minor wobble in my rear wheels, (might be both i know one for sure) but honestly it still rides smooth. always had it and noticed it when i first bought it and took it to smog the truck. i noticed it wobbled ever so slightly when they ran it on the dyno.
