Hey all Im new here and I'm Customizing a 93 2 door short bed. Been debating the 4x4 grill and bumper combo for a few weeks. I know i am definatly doing 4x4 front quarters and noticed the 2 wheel drive bumper is not quite wide enough but doesent really appear that bad. Real question i have that i have not been able to find is does the 4x4 grill snap in the 2 w drive holes. and other than 4x4 bumper brackets is there any thing else i need?

    Thanks and hello! :runaway:

    Welcome to TM!

The only other thing you will have to change when goin to a 4wd front clip is the corner lights. And yes you'll need 4wd brackets. Here's mine with the 92-95 4wd front end

the bumper fits your frame with the 4wd brackets. or you can try to make yours work. the grille should snap right into the core support. if its an OEM part it will go easy. if its aftermarket, it might fit like doo doo. some are that way. as far as i know they had 2 core supports, sealed beam headlights and the 4 runner composite headlights.

Yup, traded my stock 14's for 'em.

I bought my 3-pc grille, bumper, valance, & brackets all new at a junk yard for $250

When we did my truck (Lil Red), I stayed with the 2wd fenders. I did go with a 4wd grille and a bumper and valance from a 92-95 4Runner though. The bumper is a little wider(maybe 1/2"-3/4"), but the end result came out just how I pictured it.Just something a little different from what's out there.

in case you didnt know, there is another 4wd grille for that bodystyle that some people prefer. i cant remember if the bottom of it dips down or not for the bumper. i know the 4runner setup doesnt and the bumper is flat.

I am thinking of staying with a 2 wheel drive bumper setup and 4x4 fenders but still havent decided.
