Well after considering getting a tune up new plugs/cap etc, i decided to try get gas at a different station. Normally fill up at the local 76 Gas Station witch has decent, to lowest prices on the island (Oahu). Anyways my engine would always idle a little rough but not up until recently.

Sooo my brother swears by Chevron Gas and getting better mileage on it so i thought what the hell whynot...a few cents more a gallon.

Before, i averaged 18-19mpg on 76. Now, with Chevron, i noticed my engine runs somewhat cleaner & smoother and just worked it out i'm getting Avrg 25-26mpg....still cant believe it :clapping: .

Running a 3.0 v6 2wd i thought i'd never see this type of mileage (exspecially the way i drive :eyecrazy:) Removed my spare tire & rear bumper so i guess that helped a little too.

chevron's gas was probably better, less water in it, and more consistent.

    as for me....

with the low low temps, a truck that takes FOREVER to get into O/D, and usually in cold loop...

I believe I'm getting 15mpg (really feels like it, I wouldn't doubt it right now).

but once the truck is legitimately warm, and uses O/D, I get at least 21mpg.

In my yota I only put chevron in it. I filled up an drove to Bakersfield an back on 1 tank. I think I averaged 30mpg. I put different gas (15$)in the other day to get to work an it barely lasted 3 days. Put the same amount in at chevron an it's lasted 2 an I still have Almost half a tank

I drive sidestreets day to day and get 24.4.
worse I got was 20 when I do a lot of stop n go - stop, engine gets cold, warm up again, drive in traffic til i decide to get off the hwy for more stop n go til i get to where I'm going. REPEAT
I usually have my fixie w me for short distance runs to save as much as possible.

22RE. W55. 2wd. 3.58 rear. no PS or AC. stock manifold and Y pipe to cherry bomb and 2.25 exhaust with several leaks and a possibly dead O2 sensor.

Takes about 3-4 miles to fully warm up. haven't done much of the same drive since the weather got cold but it's been a pretty consistent 23-24 mpg as long as I've had it. that includes city and highway driving.

worst was 18mpg pulling a tandem single wheel (old crappy biases too) 6x12 enclosed uhaul...around 5500lbs of trailer and cargo going 60 mph for 350 miles. Yes, over tongue weight. yes, over trailer weight. it did have brakes tho so it stopped fine.
