i like duracells. but really, any name brand should be fine. get the largest/highest amp one you can fit inside your battery tray area. just go into the store and tell them your measurements. i assume this is for stereo reasons? maybe lighting but i dont think you have enough to worry.
Its really on personal preference and what you need it for. If you want something with more cold cranking amps get a Optima Redtop. If you plan on having a big system (like running the system for hours without having the truck on) or running aftermarket electronics, lights, etc. look at an Optima Yellowtop or a Kinetik. Other than that, if you just want a good long lasting battery, most will do just fine.
I just went from a Optima yellow top to a Odyssey PC1500/34 My yellow top was a deep cycle/start, & problem with the Optima is if & when they get into a low voltage state, they can not be brought back up by the charging system, only by a slow 2 amp charge!! I have a 140 amp alt. ! The Odyssey will recover, & has a longer life span( 8-12 years) & a full replacement 4 year warranty! Is the only Military Grade battery made in the USA! Only a little more cost wise! Ordered mine through West Coast Batteries 888-379-2555
I like Interstate batteries. always worked and never left me stranded in hot and freezing weather. I have a Group 24 plus battery which has 1000 cranking amps
i put me in a everstart MAXX and i have a system and it workes perfectly cranks great all winter and summer. And yesterday forgot my lights on for 2 hours and it still cranked perfectly.
