    i'm thinkin about gettin a 2wd 62 scout and puttin a 22r and 5 speed in it. should be an easy thing to do. what you guys think about it?

    I have no personal experience but look around on the pre75 truck builds... one or two guys have done that. I dont think it is as easy as say swapping out a 20r to 22r... Heck some dude said putting a 22r in a 18r truck wasnt that easy.

    i love IH scouts. we had a fully restored 67 4wd. only problem was the damn holley carb would flood if you hit a pothole. i say do it!! :D

    he said scout. not stout. internation. its like an early ford bronco. should fit and power it fine, but nothing will be bolt in. youll have to fab up motor and trans mounts, run your own exhaust, transplant a radiator that has the ports in the proper locations, and hook up an electric fuel pump since a scout has a mechanical one on the motor. unless your head has the boss for a manual pump. but i prefer electrics.

    yeah, i already figured on all that stuff. i have owned 2 4wd scouts and always wanted to put a different powerplant in em, just never got around to do it. and i think a 2wd would be sick, and a lot easier to drop a yota motor and transmission in.
