What thread size on 22R oil drain plug ?

    My 88 Toy that I just got back seems that whoever was doing the oil changes may have over snugged the plug bolt. Is the thread a 12MM X 1,5 or a 12MM X 1.75 or something different ? It just seeps but next oil change I want to chase the threads and repair on the bolt and oil pan.

    almost positive it was 12M x 1.50 but if anything you can find a one size up plug that will cut and re-thread itself into the pan.
