You're gonna have a hard time fitting 12's behind the seat, especially an L7. Not just because of the depth but also cause of the airspace they require. Plus, a 12W1 doesn't compare to a 12L7, the L7 is twice the price and handles 3x the power. I would suggest looking at some 10's, like the JL W1's I'm a big JL fan. I'm 6 ft and a I wanted it loud so I did a bedbox, two JL 10W3v2's. Here are a few pics...

im planning on doing 4 infinity 8's. i dont think i'll have a space problem but you might try running a 10 behind the passenger seat. i have an 8" bazooka tube behind my passenger seat now and there is plenty of leg room still. i only had to move the seat up about 2"

thanks for the replies...yeah the L7 is big and i heard about its air space crap. i kind of dont wanna run a blow through box for now because i plan to bag my truck later and might not have the space but i wanted to see what else gets deeep bassss for me...i love JL products too alot of people run the w1s because they are small but yet they can hit pretty hard to me...im still undecided.n how much would a blow through run you? and where did you get that sealer that goes around?

If you do one blowthrough most of the cost going be from the equipment. You can do everything yourself. Just cut it slowly. Make it nice.

Also nvrenufedge did his like that in case he does plan to bag it later.

Theres some good info here. If you get something in a moderate amount of power, it can fit behind the seat. Depends what seat/steering wheel combo you run as well. In my 78 I've got a 10" Memphis M class. It will fit behind the pass seat with it up a click or two on the slider. I don't want to sit closer. But those cabs are also noticeably smaller than the later era trucks. Plus have a stupid rear cab wall. You may want to consider running you amp under the front edge of the driver seat. So you can easily adjust it. I'm going to do that, and super glue a small dowel to the gain knob. So I can just reach down and tweak it. Initial tests show that I will probably have it cut a bit from 0 most the time. Which is nice. If somebody says it has no bass, I can crank the bass boost. Since I'm runnin an early 90s alpine amp.

Crawl throughs are incredibly hard to design if you only want a small port, you will have to take the length of that penetration into consideration when building the box or it will change the tuning of the enclosure.

I run 2 10" JL W1 in a built in box, really good sound quality for a single cab.
I have tried running a 8" JL W3 in a bazooka tube housing, hits like a ten. They dont make W3s, but they have a replacement series. get bucket seats & put the tube behind the pass. side
