It is a 7M-Gte. Its a 3.0L in-line 6 Turbo. The Ad says turbo and there is a huge intercooler on the front of the car. So yea it is a 7M-Gte for sure!

So this would be a good swap for my truck then? I might be able to pick up the whole car for a decent price. How was that motor for dropping in SVS? Pretty straight forward drop in or are their issues I would need to worry about? My biggest worry is wiring.

Don't worry about wiring! Just got to Supracharged.com. They will explain everything you need. If not let me know and ill help u out. As for dropping the motor in. Pretty straight forward engine swap. The only real issue was the oil pan to the centerlink clearance. You have to notch the oil pan, conver it to a rack and pinion style, or do like i did and bend the pitman and idler arms down. But i wouldnt suggest it......... screws up the toe. Doesnt handle the same either. Im gonna redo it this spring.

You might be right on that ShoNuff. Almost looks like the car was swamped with the weeds hanging out the door too. This car is up for auction that is run by our province wide insurance company. You can usually get the whole car for cheap, unless there is something really good worth salvaging. Which in this case, if the motor is there, then there is. It still might not be that sought after though out here so I'm thinking I could still get it cheap. I just have to find out if there is a motor and what kind of shape it's in.

Hmmm not 100% sure. i figure anywhere from 230 to 250. Somewhere in there. I put one of those G Tech things on the window that is susposed to tell u 1/4 mile times. Buddy says it was acurate for him..... It told me i ran a 14.30....

That was with one wheel peel (tire spinning through 3rd... so i had to feather the gas). The tires are stock 205's.... so not much traction. I figure with traction and both wheels putting power down i can hit mid to high 13's. Which would be perfect for what i use the truck for!

Ya Burnzya, yours should run really well based on the wieght!

SVS, 14.3 is VERY impressive! If you get into the 13's that is really worth the trouble of swapping motors IMO. I think I'm going to have to make it out to that auction and see if I can grab this car. What do you guys think that motor is worth?

Ya unfortunately they don't sell the whole car that cheap! I was thinking if I can get the whole car for $500 I'd be doing well. Looks like I might be able to get some cash back from the rims and whatever else I can part on the car.
