I'm in the process of trimming out the fenderwells for more drop in the front. I've relocated everything that was on the driver's side and cut out that side. Now I'm thinking I'll relocate the battery to the bed. Here's my question: There's a little black box with a plus sign on it that was originally mounted above the driver's side fenderwell. It's in line between the alternator and battery. What does it do? Do I need to use it if I run new wire to relocate the battery to the bed? Can I get rid of it? Thanks!
I did a write up on how to relocate your battery to the bed... http://yotascene.com/forums/viewtop...sid=a019b263aeccf67c78b64ee6a015f0a6&start=15
Picture of what I'm talking about I relocated it forward to just behind the headlight. It was mounted vertically above the fenderwell below the rubber things the hood rests on. The charging wire comes off the alternator, into this little black box, then through the loom in the core support to the battery. Can I get rid of this thing?
Good article. I actually read that a long time ago, but I'd forgotten about it. I guess you kinda answered my question, because you didn't use the little box I'm talking about.
that is just a factory power distribution block/junction point.. you can remove it, just connect the wires back together when you are done.
