I was driving around and spotted a old 1985 extra cab long bed efi ser5 turbo pickup in a open air carport with about a inch of dust on it . So a knocked on the door and spoke to the owner of the truck his story was that the truck was his sons and it has been sitting for over eight years . He said do you want to buy it ? I said how much he said how five or six hundred sound ? I told him I just got my 1987 4-speed standard cab for one hundred bucks then I looked over his truck doors locked so rubbed thru the dust so I could see in side the drivers side window and all I could see is the seats look good blue with sr5 all over seats but the bad part its a auto tranny .No body damage didn`t see the engine. Florida truck surface rust on bumpers and around the windshield .Light blue home made bed cover oem rims with new-eight year old tires one sitting on the rim .I was thinking $4oo but what about the fuel injection with old gas so old fuel drop the tank replace the pump fix brakes and getting running then it`s still a auto .So what do you think walk away ? or pick up the pickup .Capt Glen in the florida key s . to too many whips .sorry no pics
its a 4th gen 85 (if you count the 82-83 square headlights as a gen id be 5th) why was it parked in the first place and not driven?
Im totally in aggrement with the rest of the guys. Gotta love barn finds, I mean uhhh, you get the drift. Parts alone are worth that much. . . Posts pictures of the find if ya get er. . .
the turbo setup off the engine alone is worth $400... you'd be a fool to not buy it... even just to part it out....
Wait, did you just tell us that you got your 87 for $100? What? R U serious? Personally, I'd be willing to pay over $1000 for a Turbo extended cab. I could care less if anything is wrong with the motor or not. I'm surprised you didn't run to the bank and take him cash immediately! Instead you came home and asked us. Tell you what, just give em his address and I'll take a trailer down and pick it up. JK.
