I'm hoping someone out there updated their rearend, and may have what I'm looking for; which is the rear wheel cylinders and springs for one side. I just bought this truck, pulled the drums to check shoes, and found no hardware in one drum!

As long as they move so I can rebuild them, that would be great...

    Thanks Much! Mike 8157144309

    Truck:
62 toyopet and 76 toyota stout
It depends on how authentic you want to be but the stout had a E series rear axle and the hilux up to 1983 had G's and the main difference between the two series is axle size, but if your a Facebook person try the toyota toyopet stout group

Thanks, but this truck is all original still, so I'd like to keep the rearend original also. Any idea of any other models that might use this same cylinder?

Do you have any pictures of the rear wheel cylinders or complete brake assembly with drum off? I'm hoping some of the older Land Cruiser wheel cylinders might interchange but it will be a bit before I have a minute to pull my rear axle down.

Early landcruiser are different to the US spec stout or lite stout elsewhere

Fair enough, I've not pulled my rear drums yet (tomorrow we will) so I had my fingers crossed. The fronts are obviously very different with a ~30* offset between the ends of the cylinders, nothing like that was ever used on a Land Cruiser. That said if we can verify a diameter for the boots rebuild kits likely exist and perhaps they will match a Toyota offering? I stock ~20 different wheel cylinder rebuild kits for Land Cruisers, pretty confident something might interchange.
