will the w45 bellhousing fit onto the w58 transmission? i got a good line on a w58, but it comes with the bell housing to fit the supra mg-whatever# thingie engine. I have a w45 in my truck right now which is a 4 speed version of a w55...so in theroy the bellhousing should fit the w58 then right? anyone?

nope didnt fit...w58 bellhousing to trans bolt pattern is different then the w45 bellhousing to trans bolt pattern.

all the 5x series patterns are the same. the 4x series are not compatable!

should bolt up...you will have to take the 5spd bellhousing and put it on the w58 ( unless you happen to find a 22r supra..very rare ) but other then that bolts right up.

you might have to trip your shifter hole though since w58's have a few different shifter positions...but thats no biggie
