Ok so i got a bumper cover from the current IS300 that im guna cut/mold to fit my 4 runner valance. I just want to know what kind of plastic are these dam things made of? And what would epoxy/glue would be best to use?? Any help would be great. Thanks guys
Well the 4runner valance is plastic. and so is the bumper cover. I kno its not FG But im trying to figure if i can even get the 2 to bond. Idk if thats just the glue/epoxys job but yea.
Use 3M panel bond for gluing together rubber bumpers. Feather it out, then fill it. Same techniques as fiberglassing just different materials and filler.
Yeah, go to an autobody supply place. SEM brand is also good. Its a two part glue. On metal, its as strong as a weld. It has some flex to it. I've used it before on rubber bumpers to repair them, as well as to shave cast in lettering on stock stuff to "shave" them. Try it out.
Lol. Cuz the bumper cover is super fckn thin and flimsy. The valance is flimsy as sh!t too. idk if different plastics will have different properties regarding rigidity. And i would use SEM but theyre stuff is really expensive. Love their products but just outta my budget
