Yeah, I found out that at my new job it will cost $700 a month for insurance. It pisses me off, I haven't paid out of pocket for insurance in 7 years. My employer paid for all of it, so this was a shocker. My wife and I had decided that after shopping around for a family doctor that we would forgo buying any insurance other than major medical and save that money, but now I am faced with a flippin' FINE for choosing not to carry insurance.

Who the He!! are they to tell me what is best for me and my family? I'm pissed. They have awoken a sleeping giant. Conservatives get stepped on because we are the least vocal. We don't want to be messed with, so we don't mess with you.

    We will be heard.

    ^WTF that's such bull****.............

Love that most of the country was opposed to this bill and the government shoved it down our throats anyways. What happend to serving the country? I hope that come election time every single last person that voted for this bill gets voted out. If they keep pusihng this crap there's going to be a lot of angry americans which will eventually boil over.

If this bill happens my father-in-law will lose his business cause they can't afford insurance right now because of this economy. I believe that there will be a major uproar from the people if this goes through.

I thought it had one more thing to pass?

    Nevermind....reading about it now.

I'm kinda lookin at it from both sides. I don't agree with the fines to the people that don't have insurance. But I do like the part that people with pre-existing conditons cannot be denied insurance. My mother-in-law had an aneurysm bout 10 years ago and still has problems because of it and has been denied health insurance. They've had to pay all her medical bills out of pocket. Now she can get it.

right, there definitely needs to be health reform but fining people for not having it is ridiculous. Maybe they should fine people for be inactive and obese from which the vast majority of our countries health problems stem from.

but us working american people are getting tired of getting taxed for everthing n our pockets are not getting bigger due to the fact that there is no jobs or companys cutting back on staff or even cutting salarys. eventually people cant take any more n things will just get worse than what it is.

OK, now I just wanna cry. :doah:
How do we let them get away with this? If I ran my budget at home like that we would be living in my mother in law's garage.

The debt per taxpayer is almost as much as I owe on my house still!

I dont know much about politics but this seems really idiotic..... And yeah people would be better off if the US banned a lot of unhealthy food that cause a lot of health issues but im sure that fast food is a big part of the economy, but whats better being fat and sick or being broke? Hey the economy sucks as it is, from what I hear. I dont work and im in school so I dont have first hand experience with it.

Heck the gov. gives me money for going to school, I get 1200 a semester over what they already pay for my classes 1600 a sem, so im getting 2800 a sem just for going to school. I consider it a waste of money to just give it to me considering that I dont need it. But thats the Gov for you I guess. I hope it all turns around. Ima start buying guns though LOL.

What people fail to realize is that once the federal government has full control over the health care system (which if we let them, they will,) they will control every part of our lives that will effect our health. Tobacco, Gun Control, Driving, "modifying vehicles", Television, Radio, Diet, Jobs, anything that will in any way effect our health, mentally and physically.

And don't think that when we have no other option but them, (which will come), that they won't try to control costs by denying services...

Yeah, yeah, I know. These are the same old talking points. Let's just do something instead of the same old yap yap yap. How 'bout passing a $1,000,000,000,000 law in the wee hours of night- THEN WE CAN READ IT LATER.

    Sorry guys, I'm a bit pissed...
