Purchased a 1988 Pickup that I want to build in to a really clean daily driver. Plans for now include an engine rebuild, 5/5 Static drop, 4WD front end with Chrome grill and some painted steelies.

Want to get the truck completed in 3 months. Here are the initial pics

Took off the ugly work truck rack.

The front section of the rack is welded to the frame, will need to cut that tomorrow

Next step is to remove the rear bumper and tow hitch.

    Teardown

The madness begins. I plan on building a borderline show truck on this one. Started tearing apart the front end for the new 4x4 chrome front end and gutted the interior and cleaned out all the crap in the bed. Mechanic took a glance at it and said everything is good, small valve adjustment needed to be made cause it had a weird idle knock.

    and now with the pics

Removed the seats and vinyl flooring

    No cracks on the dash!!

Both doors will need to be reupholstered

You need to do something w/ those things in the front.

    I know !!!!

Get chrome covers made so they look like fangs

    Hang a sign. MOVE BIT@H

Run a bull ring through them w/ a pair of balls in the back

Go old school JDM, mount a really big oil cooler w/ the braided lines

Get a set of those foot things from a wheel chair. Works 2 ways, the woman has a place to put her feet when your shining the hood
Get your friends to act like a hood ornament

Don't cut them off completly, make them removable, so you still get that clean look. Pull em out when you need that extra bit of flair

    LOL @ all the ideas!

I'm learning how to weld and might build the biggest ugliest metal front bumper guard with metal tubes all over, just for the lol factor.

I'm gonna end up cuting those front metal mounts though.
