Hey Folks I been talking to some Toyota guys from Cally and they want to have a mini truckin get together in June It's proposed to meet at the Seven Feathers Casino Resort maybe at the RV Resort portion it's in Canyon ville Or Would any of you guys be interested in something like that? I'd be down. I think I'll be more than ready to go by then. Once we have a few people in can we set a firm date? With my schedule I'll need to know as much in advance as possible.... our booking guy sees holes and goes to town trying to fill them... sometimes a little too many shows... LOL! As of right now the weekend of the 5th and 26th don't work for me, gotta work those days.
it's only 475 miles man, the Seattle guys are doing around 400, I'm doing 200! You can do it! Yea that is a bit far, I don't know how I'm gonna swing it myself, that's 3 hours with no traffic... and if any of you guys has driven between portland and Eugene before... you know how traffic is there. You're luck if you can do the speed limit, even at 3am.
i am planing on going to this i already got my clutch today now i just need to get the rest of the $$ for the tranny i am hoping to have my 5speed in before the Seattle thing from my door step Driving directions to 146 Chief Miwaleta Lane, Canyonville, OR 97417-9700 101 mi – about 1 hour 41 mins
the park just north of the casino is nice place to camp you may need to make reservation but theirs lots of motels right there there's afew mini truck runs that time of year here in the NW
I was hoping to get quite a bit of responce and if so I could start nailing the date down a bit and carry a list for reservations. Maybe depending on if they need Credit card to hold reservations or not if so we may all need to call in seprately but inform them about what group. I know the RV Park has showers and I think a pool too.
as far asthe county park its got nice showers and you can swim inthe river its a nice spot to swim I'm not sure but I think you have to go to the park to make the reservations but I can find out I know we have to make our reservations for the first weekend in aug. a year inadvance sevenfeathers has a rv park on the west side of the freeway but I think its still held up in court
All we need is a space to park the trucks really, the hotels / lodging can be done by the individual people coming. Looks like there won't be a big crowd going anyways at this point, so we could easily just hit the far end of the parking lot. Hell Burger King's right there too, although they probably would want us to buy something There's also a rest area a couple miles from there too (exit 112).
It would be nice to go... My problem is that I have to use my vacation funds to fix the disaster my mother-in-law is leaving behind now that she is moving out...
well if we only get 3-5 people and they all come from Wa then there is no need to go to Oregon.... I only posted this on like 4 different boards cause someone from Cally said they wished we did things like this closer to them? In the failing economey I totally understand how people could not afford 100 in Gas to drive down 70 in camping fees and then buy food.. At this time I have no takers from Ratsun No takers from infamous Nisson onlt 2 from the Mazda site Problem is we all from Wa
I am about 250 miles away from there. I'll come if I can get my '89 ready by then. It's 250 miles from here or so. I just don't want to show up in a lifted 4x4 and get heckled. There's some other nor cal guys that should get in on this. If I think of any I will try to coerce 'em to go.
That OK, you and I will have the highest riding trucks there, and I'll only be lowered 2" by then! No worries! Besides, variations on a theme. My brother is all about 4x4's and making them super lifted, and I'd rather have 'em low down and close to the road! He had a '79 and I have an '80. It's all good!
So did this get shelved? Haven't heard any more about it. I'm going to be in the SF Bay Area in April, anyone down there wanna have a small meet? I'll probably be in my truck, have to hit eastern NV for a few days then on to the Bay Area for a couple. Just a thought. I know some kick ass places to eat in the South Bay - I grew up there. I have a list of "must hit" places any time I'm down there (which is usually only once a year).
i would love to go but thats more like a day and a half drive for me lol especially when im not sure how hard to push my baby i drive her slow and steady ha ha 45 max (no freeways) like to preserve the engine.
