Ok here it is I've got a stock 90 v6 tach cluster cable driven approx 150k showing and... I've also got a 93 4/6/8 tach cluster electronic speedo with a carbon fiber face surround approx 92k showing This cluster was modified by me, I replaced the stock tach with an aftermarket one so it works with any 4,6, or 8 cyl I also added a carbon fiber trim that covers the black plastic under the glass that the gauges sit in... So here's the deal... I'm Swapping to aftermarket gauges for my engine swap and need any cluster with decent glass to cut up I would rather cut up a non tach cluster to do it So I will trade even for the v6 stock cluster or trade for the other plus $50 You pay shipping both ways Or I'll sell the v6 cluster for $40 Or the modded one for $90 Plus shipping for either one I'll post pics of them later if anyones interested....
I can get you that cluster this weekend if you would like. Post photos of what you have to offer and ywe'll work something out.
I'll get pics asap Looked around for a cheap aftermarket tach that went to 8000 rpm and had a similar sweep as the stock tach I took the gauges apart gutted the tach took apart the aftermarket tach and used just it's guts to replace the stock tach I little dremel work and it bolted right in Reinstalled the stock face and tach needle Drilled a hole to run the aftermarket tach wires through and reassembled I'll try to show it in the pics...
I was just thinking trading you just for the tach itself, cuz i have no use for the cluster with electric speedo. but post some pics
Sorry not planning on taking it apart, kinda makes the rest of it useless anyway... I try to get pics up tomorrow...
So here are a few pics... I tried to show the tach mod This cluster also has red lighting and blue lit turn signals Here it is in my truck Here is a pic of the v6 4runner cluster
So the tach out of the modded cluster is sold! Thanks D! So I still have the v6 runner cluster I also have the carbon fiber face, so I'll sell the v6 cluster with or without the carbon fiber face $20 extra to add it to the v6 cluster I now also have spare gauge parts Voltmeter Gas gauge Oil pressure Temp. And the speedo with 88k I'll sell any of them for $10 shipped
How hard is it to swap one of this over into my 94? I like the tech on the cluster instead of mounting those round ones up somewhere.
It's not really hard... A little dremel work and it fit fine Not worth it tho unless your running a non Toyota motor and/or your truck isn't wired for a stock tach Some of the base models after 92 are missing the tach wire Mine was and I always planned a motor swap So this was worth it to me I just looked around cheap auto parts websites till I found a $20 tach that went to 8000 rpm and had a similar needle sweep as the stock tach face Then I just gutted them both and put the aftermarket tach in place...
