How do I turn off my day running lights on my 1992 pickup?? I tried pullng the fuse that didn't work... And as soon as I dsengage the parking break the tails corners and headlights turn on
It must be an aftermarket piece, cause these trucks don't have drl's. Did you just buy the truck? If so, I'd talk to the previous owner to find out where the part is.
Actually it does. It's mandatory that all vehicles have drl's from factory. Also if we import one from the States, like I did, we have to get the relay and do the wiring to make them work before they will even let us insure them. There is a relay under the hood that operates them. Did you try unplugging it?
Yeah he's rght in Canada your supposed to have it to pass safety.... No I didn't find the relay I only took out a fuse from the fuse box under the hood that had drl... Bt that didn't work... I'm going to look for that relay... Any idea where that is??
The relay is on the passenger side in the fuse box. Sounds like that's the one you pulled out already. It should be a relay though and not a fuse. It's a big 1"x1" square one.
yeah i didnt pull out the relay it was a fuse... so i will try the relay and let you know... thanks man
Hey man there s no drl relay n that fee box there is a headlight relay but no drl relay only a drl fee whch s 7.5 amps... I pulled the headlght relay just to check but that didn't work and when I pull the drl relay they still come on... I'm thinking it nght not be possible without some kind if fancy wiring setup...
Don't know what to tell ya. I'm pretty sure mine is a DRL relay and not just a headlight relay but I'll double check for ya just to be sure.
