My truck started acting weird a few days ago. It was sometimes tough to start and would bog and almost stall from time to time. The other day I was driving down the highway and the engine shut off. I tried getting it to start for a good 30 minutes and just when I was about to give up it started. I made it to about 2 blocks away from my house and it stalled again this time with no luck at restarting it. We pushed it into my garage from there. Anyway long story short after some tinkering I pulled my fuel line off about a foot away from the gas tank and turned it over. No fuel came out witch leads me to believe that my fuel pump is shot. Just wondering if there could be anything I am overlooking. I heard of people boosting their fuel pumps or something to get them restarted. Any advice would be great thanks. My truck turns over but doesn't fire.
a little info about your truck might help, what year is it.. also its very rare that the toyota fuel pumps go out. As a mechanic ive never replaced one, and the guys ive worked with have only replace a handfull over the years..
