hi all,

have a question about my 1976 toyota pickup (20R). i was searching around but am still unsure what it might be the problem I just bought this truck not too long ago. It was running fine earlier but today it just started dying out while it was idling. Truck will start when you give it gas and will continue to run but will die out immediately when letting go of the gas. I've sprayed carb cleaner and it doesn't do any good. i'm thinking my carb needs to be rebuilt. Any suggestions?

 

sounds like your e g r valve is stuck half open i had the same prob and spent 300 dollers for a new carb only to find out different,,, check your egr valve bfor u mess with your carb
